Laura & Jack’s Wedding Day June 2019

By Henry Richardson

I am sure this week some of us are missing the glimpse of summer we have just had. Even though the rain is much needed it can often be the downfall to many outdoor weddings. The weather during the week of Laura & Jack’s wedding was…. Bad.
Cold, wet and windy during the set-up, delaying the completion of the build as the site became very muddy and wet under foot. In our Traditional pole marquees, we use our bespoke curved hard wooden flooring which raises it off the ground, providing a solid footing for guests and allows any excess water to drain away underneath.

Thankfully when the day of the wedding arrived all the rain had passed, and it turned out to be one of the hottest weekends of the year to my memory. So hot in fact Laura & Jack were able to remove all the sides of the Pole Marquee opening their reception into the beautiful grounds of the house.

Laura & Jack were kind enough to provide us with a list of suppliers who helped to make their day their own. With some even kinder words regarding ourselves.

Lots of happy memories, cannot believe how lucky we were to have the sides down!

Review from Laura:
Henry and Charlie were great. We had three companies come for site visits and Henry was the only one who came prepared with pictures and floor plan suggestions. He even had samples of the marquee flooring. The team were quick to respond to all queries and very helpful in the lead up to our wedding, including sourcing some last-minute floodlights from another supplier. We were very lucky with the weather and got to have all the sides down, the marquee looked beautiful and were so happy we chose Your Marquee to look after us.

Review from Jack:
Charlie and his team were great. They had to set up on a very wet day and things got very muddy. They came back to sweep and tidy when everything dried out. We had a blunder with a lawn mower going over the generator cable and cutting it in two. Charlie came to replace it last minute and at no extra charge. We were very lucky with the weather and we ended up moving the round bar to sit half inside, half outside the marquee. It was epic for everyone to enjoy a drink outside on a hot summer evening.
