Can Framed Marquees be ‘Rustic’

By Your Marquee

We are here to tackle the common mis-conception that framed (clear span marquees) can’t be rustic. However, first it may be necessary to explain what a ‘clearspan marquee’ is. These are marquees which have no central poles and so the whole inside space is free of obstacles. This also allows the marquee to have a raised wooden floor (something we insist on fitting to all our wedding marquees) to avoid the attached image of water ingress happening. In our professional opinion it is irresponsible to not fit a raised solid floor to a marquee because there will be trip hazards without this, water ingress, heeled shoes will dig into the ground etc. Nevertheless, a vast majority of companies out there still don’t fit these. For the above reasons our marquees are very popular with customers ranging from those wanting a very elegant and glamorous wedding to those wanting something natural and rustic.
A framed clear span marquee has the benefit and peace of mind of being wind tested, and further protected from the weather with the raised solid floor. What’s more we can help achieve the ‘rustic look’ through uplighters, tables in rows, venue stylist additions, or we equally can help our customers achieve a more glamorous look. As an alternative and for those wanting something they can decorate themselves; we can provide a lined marquee as a blank canvas for our customers to style in their own particular way.
Our customers use things like hessian, neutral carpet colours, wooden ladders hung in the marquee roof (from which to hang flowers), our matt paint finish limewashed chairs, benches, rustic trestles, uplighters etc to help with the rustic look and the photos show how well this can be achieved.
