Our customers use our marquees as all sorts of things (all above board!), from disco venues to industrial storage structures, and it’s a constant pleasure to see the interesting ways in which our stock is put to good use. Many of the greatest successes we’ve witnessed have involved food & drink, and we’d like to share with you a few examples of what has worked particularly well:
The fine dining venue
As those of you who are familiar with Your Marquee may well be aware, our specialism is providing boutique marquee and event hire services for weddings. This often sees our marquees doubling up as dining areas, exquisitely decorated and kitted out with top quality furniture. Whether you long for classically beautiful decor or an altogether quirkier style, our team will help you decide on each and every component of your dream dining area. Have a look at our luxury event furniture hire page for examples of our stock. Our furniture isn’t just suitable for weddings – it’s great for birthday meals, anniversaries, corporate functions and much else besides.
The bier halle
If you enjoy the occasional tipple, chances are you’ve raised a foaming stein of German beer in a bier halle or tent at some point or other. Our marquees provide you with the opportunity to recreate the beer festival feeling in your own back yard! Buy in some excellent craft beers (to be enjoyed strictly in moderation), grill up some hearty German food and hire an um-pah band to turn your party into a great big slice of Teutonic cheer. For an authentic feel you’ll need to hire in some long benches and tables – we recommend sturdy ones if your guests are likely to get well and truly into the spirit!
The buffet stop
Nothing beats a buffet when it comes to keeping all your guests satisfied and cutting down on the host’s duties in one fell swoop. Whether you choose to stick to classic party food or something a little more fancy, our marquees make for brilliant buffet venues – just line the grub up along one end of the structure and have your guests form an orderly queue! For those looking to add a little extra interest to the occasion, why not spice things up by challenging each guest to prepare a dish of their own? Themes could include a real ‘carnival’ centered around meat dishes, a veggie or dietary-requirement-specific feast, or even a buffet dedicated to a certain cuisine.
